Patricia "Patty" Kaye Kidd

Patricia "Patty" Kaye Kidd, aged 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024. Born on September 1, 1953, in Jamestown, Kentucky, she was the cherished daughter of the late Orley and Irene (Stefano) Miller. Patty's journey in life included not only her beloved parents but also the loving companionships of her  former spouses, David Bevel, Sr. and Donald Smith, who preceded her in death.

Patty leaves behind a heartwarming legacy through her devoted husband, Michael Kidd, with whom she shared 13 beautiful years. Her family includes her beloved son, David (Vanessa) Bevel, Jr., step daughter, Larissa (Scott) Roos and her four adoring grandchildren: Emily Grace Bevel, Olivia Paige Bevel, Carter Chase Bevel and Alyssa (Austin) Langley. She will also be dearly missed by her sisters, Linda (Nan) Mills and Barbara (Sam) Nipper, as well as her treasured friends Theresa Peabody, Doug Trent, and Sharon Ball, alongside many nieces, nephews, and countless friends who have enriched her life.

Patty was a pillar of love and devotion as a wife, mother, and nanny, finding immense joy in the laughter and warmth of her grandchildren. A lifelong member of Church Alive, formerly Highland Park Church of God, she held an unwavering faith that served as her guiding light throughout life's challenges. Her love for God inspired her to share that love with everyone around her.

In her leisure time, Patty found joy in swimming and gathering for family game nights where her playful spirit and unique perspective shone brightly, often bringing a sweet silliness to the moment. Patty's love and resilience will forever be felt by all who were honored to know her, and her legacy will be carried on by those who loved her most deeply.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 16th at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. A celebration of her life will begin with a Funeral Service at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 17th, at the same chapel.
