Patricia Rose Hickerson

Patricia Rose "Patty" Hickerson, 72, passed away on November 21, 2022. She retired from Kenmark Optical after many years of service, where she made lifelong friendships. After retiring Patty enjoyed RVing with Leroy and Sassy, cheering on her Louisville Cardinals with her sisters, "The Golden Girls", spending time with her family playing pinochle and sharing memories with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Hickerson, Jr.; parents, Charles and Mildred Hollis, Jr. and brother, Harold "Rusty" Hollis.

Patty leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Tommy (Jennifer) Hickerson; loving partner and companion, Leroy Wimsatt; sibilings, Sandy Edwards, Janet Tucker, Charles "Butch" Hollis, III, Michael Hollis, John Paul Hollis and Sarah Aker; furbaby, Sassy; numerous nieces, nephews, the Hickerson family and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 12pm-6pm with a celebration of Patty's life beginning at 6pm.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Shirley's Way, 10966 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272 or The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 in Patty's honor.
