Patricia Sue Head

Patricia Sue Head, 73, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Pat’s number one priority was always family, and being Gigi to her grandchildren was her ultimate joy in life. Her hobbies were gardening, cheering for IU and UofL, and she was an avid Wheel of Fortune home champ. Her defiance and strong-willed nature carried her through many of life’s challenges.

Pat is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jim Head; children, Brian Head, Jennifer Head, and Jaime (Jeffrey) Heun; grandchildren, Adilynne Heun, Griffin Heun, and Everleigh Heun; and siblings, Dwight (Janie) Bowden, Joe Bowden, and Teresa Bowden. And many friends, including her supportive Bunco ladies.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Shelley and Mary Bowden.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN). Her Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday, at the funeral home. Entombment will be at 10:00 am on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hosparus of Southern Indiana in her memory. The family is deeply grateful to all the health care professionals that cared for her throughout the years.
