Patricia A. Collins

Patricia Annette Collins, age 85 of LaGrange, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023. She was born in Greenville, Kentucky on April 29, 1938 to the late Ruby and Esther Cook. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church LaGrange Campus. Patricia was retired from the Jefferson County Board of Education where she spent over 25 years as secretary at Rangeland Elementary School and knew every child by name. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby Gordon Cook and Esther Lillian Wells Cook; her husband, Walter H. Collins; son-in-law, David Allgood; brothers, Eugene, Donie, Steve and baby Ruby Jr. Cook; sisters, Lou McDougale and Baby Brenda Joyce; and brother-in-law, Bob Cole.

Patricia leaves to cherish her memories her children, Cindi Hansell, Melissa Allgood and Walter Collins Jr.; grandchildren, Kari Sturgeon, Katy Collins, Leah Basham (Wesley), Jennifer Demott (Kurt), David Allgood Jr, Jason Allgood (Jennifer) and Amanda Litch (Trevor); 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Gayle Angel (Ronnie), Pam Cole (Bob) and Becky Whitaker (Pat); sisters-in-law, Carmon Cook (Eugene) and Delcia Cook (Donie); brother-in-Law, Glenn McDougale (Lou); several cousins, nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 am on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243 with a celebration of Patricia's life at 11am there. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
