Pastor Eugene Bird, Sr.

Dale Eugene Bird, Sr., age 73 of LaGrange, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. He was born on January 28, 1949 in Marshall, Missouri to Irvin and Charlene Bird. Dale was a Marine Vietnam Veteran, Miami-Dade County Police Officer with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice who moved to Louisville Kentucky to attend Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he received his Masters Degree in Divinity. With all those credentials he could kick your butt, arrest you and forgive you for being stupid, and then pray for your salvation. He is preceded in death by Charlene Bird, Irvin Bird, Mary Ruth Bird, Marsha Campbell.

Dale is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Jo Ann Bird and his children Dale, Sharron, Ruth and grandchildren.

A gathering to celebrate Pastor Bird's life will be from 3 to 6pm on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, with a sharing of memories at 5:30pm.
