Pamela Collings Roederer, age 76, of Louisville, KY passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022. She was born on August 27, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri. Pamela graduated from Atherton High School and attended the University of Kentucky as an art and education major. She truly was a gifted artist and enjoyed free handing a quick sketch of anything that caught her eye. She attended Zion United Methodist Church in the Highlands. There she met her husband, H. Wayne Roederer (1946-2009) and they were married for 7 years. Pamela raised their children to be strong and loving.
Pam's first job was at the gift-wrapping counter of Sears and Roebuck Co. in St. Matthews. From there she went to the cosmetics department of Taylor Drug store in Jeffersontown. Her true calling was when she began working for Louisville Trust Bank. She stayed with the bank through many buyouts and name changes until retiring from Chase Bank as Vice President and Banking Manager. Pam made many friends through those years, most of whom are still called aunt or uncle by her children. She enjoyed gardening, dog shows, cooking, rooting for her Dallas Cowboys, watching her UK cats, and cheering for any team playing against Duke. Pamela is preceded in death by her mother, Erma Lurding and her parents, Charles and Marion Collings.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Traci R Furness (Edwin); son, Todd L Roederer (Cathy); grandson, Stephen T. Roederer; granddaughter, Caren E. Roederer (Chris); great granddaughter, Evey B. Kersey; great grandson, due in November Luka W. Kersey; and a host of relatives and friends.
