Pamela D.Cherry Newton
Pamela D. (Cherry) Newton, 51, of New Albany passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2011. She was employed at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville. Pam was a member of Galatian Missionary Baptist Church in New Albany and was known for her love of reading.
Pam was born on September 20, 1959 in New Albany to the late Jesse E. Heath and Wanda J. Cherry Long. She is also preceded in death by her grandmother, Juel E. Cherry.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Newton of New Albany; sons, Daniel W. Newton II and Jesse D. Newton, both of New Albany; brothers, Gene C. Cherry and his wife, Kelly, of Louisville and Todd Douglas of Washington D.C.; and soon-to-be-born grandson, Jayden D. Newton.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 PM on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Galatian Missionary Baptist Church (2020 Maryland Avenue, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 5 PM on Tuesday at the church with burial at a later date in West Haven Cemetery in New Albany.
Memorial contributions may be made to Galatian Missionary Baptist Church (2020 Maryland Avenue, New Albany, IN 47150) or American Stroke Association (7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231).
