October 18, 1951 — January 8, 2014
Oweata Lynn Williams, 62, of Louisville, formerly of Paducah, KY, passed away January 8, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born October 18, 1951 in Flint, MI. Oweata enjoyed reading, doing crafts, her dog Julep, and spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She proudly served in the United States Army as a 2nd Lieutenant as a nurse during the Vietnam Era and was honorably discharged.
Oweata was preceded in death by her parents, William Goodchild and Virginia (Royce Sr.) Downey.
Oweata is survived by her sons, Eric (Kelly) Williams and Elijah Williams; two loving granddaughters; siblings: Keith (Sue), MB Gregory (Connie), Thomas, Royce (Donna), Dawn, and Tracey (Randy); and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 1:00PM at Paducah Seventh-day Adventist Church (5320 Kentucky Dam Rd. Paducah, KY 42003).
Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Humane Society.
