Oscar Miller, age 69 of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012. Oscar was born April 18, 1943 in Caneyville, KY to Milburn and Sudie Mae Miller. He was a proud Navy veteran, spending time in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Oscar was a member of the VFW and Eagles Club in Jeffersontown.
When he left the service Oscar worked at the Olin-Matheson Ammunition Plant in Charlestown, IN for 5 years. He then spent 25 years as a Metallurgist with Vermont American Multi-Metals in Louisville, retiring in 1999.
In addition to his parents, Oscar was preceded in death by his brothers J.E. and Charles Miller; and sister, Barbara Sue Priest.
Oscar is survived by his daughters, Penny and Amanda Miller; grandson, Jesse Newnam; brothers, Larry, Kirby, and David Miller; sisters, Ann Miller and Janette Warner.
Funeral service will be Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 6:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY with visitation from 2:00PM until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA.
