Oscar August Fritz, Jr.

Oscar August "Junie" Fritz, Jr., 86, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022. Junie was a graduate of New Albany High School. He worked for Robinson Nugent for many years and retired from MKM, where he worked as a Journeyman Machine Tool Machinist.

He was born on April 29, 1936, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Oscar Fritz, Sr., and Eleanorra (Gadlage) Fritz. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Kenny and Joey Fritz.

Junie is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Kathleen Fritz; children, Vickie (Charlie) Elder, Ronnie (Jo-Jo) Fritz, Terry Fritz, and Jacqui (Mike Perry) Fritz; grandchildren, Jake (Christina) Elder, Jessica Elder, Kacie (Zane) Howell, Sara (Thomas) Briscoe, and Mariah (Michael) Bayer; great-grandchildren, Ally and Kate Elder, Kynlee and Zyler Howell, Lilli, Max, and Raelynn Briscoe, and Bentley and Addi Bayer; brothers, Bob Fritz and Steve (Mary) Fritz; and sister-in-law, Millie Fritz.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church (129 West Daisy Lane, New Albany) with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
