Ora Lee (Steele) Thien, 93, passed away on May 1, 2012. Ora greatly enjoyed fishing with family and friends. She was a loving mother, sister, friend, and neighbor who will be missed dearly.
Ora was born on April 10, 1919 to the late Warner and Lillie (Lawson) Steele. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Thien, Sr.; sister, Ada Buchheit; and brother, Buddy Steele.
She is survived by her son, Carl H. Thien, Jr. (Carol) of New Albany; sisters, Hazel Flora, Loretta Cox, and Edna Diech; and brother, John "Jack" Steele (Phyllis).
Her Visitation will be 3 to 8 PM Friday, May 4, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 1 PM on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society (701 West Muhammad Boulevard, Louisville, KY 40203).
