Olive Joycelyn Garrick

Olive "Lou" Joycelyn Garrick, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. Lou enjoyed listening to music and enjoyed a variety of songs and styles. She was a loving Mother, and called "Lou" by her Grandchildren. Lou was born in St. Kitts BWI, and came to Louisville in 1995. She settled here with her daughter and made Louisville her home. Lou loved watching her programs and was always in the know with current events, and will be remembered for her spunky personality. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was born on November 13, 1937 to Fredrick & Ann Prince. She is preceded in death by her Parents, and 6 Siblings.

Lou is survived by her Daughters, Blandel (Dwight) Williams, and Dennies Garrick, Son, Clover (Sarah) Garrick, Grandchildren, Shameka Garrick, Brandon Garrick, Ashani Garrick, Oriana Greene, Alija Williams, Clover Garrick, Jr., and Clara Garrick, Great-Grandchildren, Vincent Ross, and Serenity Rose Philpot, Sister, Caroline Reid, and Brother, Sinclare Prince. Lou also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 3:00 pm on Sunday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
