Nova Davidson

Nova Lynn Davidson passed away on July 30, 2011 in her home in Louisville, KY.

Nova was a dedicated wife and mother and touched many lives just by her day-to-day contact with the people around her. She was not only a great mother to her 3 children, but was their teacher, mentor, encourager, gaming partner and overall Best Friend. She had a wonderful way of balancing the discipline of mom and the fun loving companionship of a friend. She was also a wonderful wife, companion and caretaker always being the voice of reason when times were challenging.

She dedicated her life to staying at home and teaching her children, giving them the highest quality of education while keeping the focus on God and how He works through each of the subjects. While providing this for her own children, she saw the need to help reach out to others who were homeschooling. She partnered with a friend to create the Raymore Home Educators as her mission to expand opportunities for home school children and families. She went on to be very active in multiple Home School Associations including building OFCHE (O'Fallon Christian Home educators) from the ground up in O'Fallon, MO.

Nova's daughter, Alycia, has Juvenile Diabetes and Nova was constantly working to support finding a cure for this disease. She was active in the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) for the last 17 years and has helped to bring people together for this great cause. She was not only able to raise money but built large teams of friends having a great time raising awareness for this disease.

Nova is survived by her husband, Daniel; her 3 children, Alycia Lynn, Jeremy Daniel and Maggie Blossom Davidson; her mother, Dora B. Hibdon; brothers, Tim & Gene Hibdon and sister, Brenda Pardekooper.

There will be a memorial service celebrating the life of Nova Davidson at 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 4th at Southeast Christian Church, located at 920 Blankenbaker Parkway in Louisville, KY.

Any expressions will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 153 Thierman Lane, Louisville, KY 40207.
