Nova B.(Lawhead) Parish

Nova Belle (Lawhead) Parish passed away on January 1st in Clarksville, IN after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. She is survived in death by her son Edward Parish and his wife Carolyn Bennett - Parish of New Albany, IN and a grandson, Craig N. Bennett of Charleston, SC. She was the daughter and proceeded in death by her parents Edward Odie Lawhead and Bessie Irene Lawhead formerly of Robinson, Illinois, as well as her deceased siblings Dorothy, Orville, Charles and Robert all of Bedford, Indiana. Nova was born April 14, 1924 in Bedford, Indiana.

Nova was a beautician in her own shops for 30 years, as well as co-owner with her late husband Ray Parish, of Jeff's Shoe Store in Bedford for many years. She was a graduate of Bedford High School class of 1942, a member of the First Christian Church of Bedford and a long time member and officer of The Order of the Eastern Star.
