Norman Rayburn

Norman Rayburn, 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024. He was born on February 12, 1938 in Upper Tygart, Kentucky to the late Ted and Inis Rayburn.

In addition to his parents, Norman is preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Ellen Rayburn; step-mother, Faye Rayburn; sisters, Jeanie Lyons and Fern Gillum; and brothers, Teddie, Doug, and Bob Rayburn.

Left to cherish his memory are his 3 children, Deborah Grider (Larry), Teddie Rayburn (Lisa), and Terry Maier (Steve); grandchildren, Brandon Hall (Camille), Kyle Maier (Heather), Emily Maier-Roth (Wade), and Aynslee; great grandchildren, Jackson, Barrett, Bennett, Macie, McKenna, Owen, Tatum, and Payton; sisters, Guinalda Myers and Mary Rayburn; and brothers, Bill and Roger Rayburn.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024 and from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Newcomer, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). His funeral service will be at 12:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home with entombment to follow in Evergreen cemetery in Louisville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Norman's memory to New Cut Road Baptist Church.
