Norma J. (Kapps) Scharf, 85, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Albany.
Norma was born on November 15, 1927 in Vincennes, Indiana to the late John and Florence (Hewitt) Kapps. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Adolph F. Scharf, Jr.; sisters, Marie Miller, Helen Mallory, Irma Dietrich, and brothers, Louis and John Kapps.
She is survived by her children, Michael J. Scharf (Barbara), David J. Scharf (Susan), Nancy A. Scharf; grandchildren, Kristan, Ashley, Jeffrey, Victoria, Elizabeth Scharf, and Jenna Johnson (Charles).
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday after 11 AM. Her Funeral Service will be Thursday at 1 PM in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hosparus – the Community Hospice of Southern Indiana.
