Norma Jean (Madden) Hentchel

Norma Jean (Madden) Hentchel, 94, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Monday evening, December 18, 2023 at Westminster Nursing Home.
She was born on May 5, 1929 in Louisville, Kentucky to William and Aline (Rich) Madden. Norma was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in New Albany and over the years, had enjoyed playing Bunco, Scat and Euchre. When she was younger, Norma liked bowling, roller skating and dancing.
Norma is survived by her children, Pam Hawkins, Kevin Hentchel (Carol); grandchildren, Wendy Foster (Joe), Jason Hawkins (Lisa), Kelly Hentchel, Kristy Hentchel; and great-grandchildren, Laney Hawkins, Caden Foster and Caleb Hawkins. She was loved by many friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin "Skip" Hentchel; and son-in-law, Dennis Hawkins.
Norma's wish was to be cremated and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with her care. She will be laid to rest privately at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
The family would like to thank the staff at Westminster Nursing Home for the love and care they provided to Norma during her time there.
