Norma Jean Banet

Norma J. (Miller) Banet, 93, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022. Norma started working for the old Bell South Telephone company when she was 15 years old and went on to retire from there over 41 years later.

She was born on July 11, 1929, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to the late Vernon Miller and Myrtle (Resch) Larimore. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leo Banet; brother, Charles Miller; and sister, Sandy Edlin.

Norma is survived by her son, Keith Banet (Amy); granddaughter, Grace Banet (Jordan Sweet); grandson, Alexander Banet; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jeanetta Stader, who became their personal caretaker and angel.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
