Nora Kathleen "Kathy" (Jones) Powers

Nora Kathleen "Kathy" (Jones) Powers, 61, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024. Family meant everything to her, and she always looked forward to spending time with them and her friends. Kathy liked being active and making memories on different social media platforms and enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows, American Idol and The Bachelor. Upon her retirement, Kathy became a devoted Maw Maw, where she showed unconditional love and care for her grandchildren.

She was born on February 14, 1963 in Louisville, Kentucky to Bartlett, Sr. and Monrova (Decker) Jones. Along with her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her brother, Ricky Jones.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Joe Powers; children, Amy Delgado (Greg), Joseph Powers, Stephanie Powers (Kristin); grandchildren, Isaac Delgado, Emma Powers, Eli Delgado, Olivia Powers, Alaya Barbour; and brother, Barlett "Chipper" Jones, Jr.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Tuesday after 11:00 a.m. Her funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
