Nick Cleatus Hester

Nick Cleatus Hester, 81, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, of North Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017. He was a United States Air Force veteran. Nick was a licensed pilot and avid golfer. He retired from Heritage Liquors in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and fulfilled Barbara's and his dream of moving to Florida for a sunny retirement.

He was born on December 3, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Cleatus and Ivanelle (Toler) Hester. Nick is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara (Leachman) Hester; children, Kathy Copas (Jerry), Michael Hester, and Steven Hester (Jinu Rha); and grandsons, Spencer Copas, and Thomas, William, and Robert Hester.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150) with his Funeral Service taking place at 3:00 p.m. Burial will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Monday at Sunset Memorial Park (1800 St. George Street, Evansville, Indiana 47711).
