Nettie Wrightmiles Pierson

Nettie Alene Wright Miles Pierson, age 101 of Louisville, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013. She was a long-time member of Oakdale Baptist Church and a charter member of Buechel Park Baptist Church. She enjoyed working at the old Hikes Grade School and Hill Creek Nursing Home. Her hobbies included arts and crafts, crocheting and reading the Bible. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.T. and Maggie Wright; husband, Leo D. Miles; and daughter, Beverly A. Finch.

Mrs. Pierson is survived by her sons, Louis "Randy" Miles, Harold O. Miles and James D. Miles (Marlene); daughter, Mae E. Holland; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; 4 nieces and 1 nephew; son-in-law, Samuel Finch.

Funeral ceremony will be 12:30 pm Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with visitation there 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
