Nelson Rosenberger

Nelson B. Rosenberger, 82, of Starlight, Indiana passed away on January 11, 2014. A lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Starlight, Nelson will be remembered cruising the backroads on his motorcycle in his younger years. An avid gardener, his family and neighbors benefitted from his harvest each year, and he regularly attended the Salem Speedway car races.

Nelson was born on January 18, 1931, in Borden, Indiana, to the late John E. and Loretto E. (Gettelfinger) Rosenberger. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Rosenberger. He is survived by his brothers, Irvin (Mary) and Melvin (Mary Ann) Rosenberger, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (8310 St. John's Road, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119) followed by burial in the church cemetery.
