Nelson Randall Hudgens, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023.
He was born on August 15, 1940 in Clarksville, Tennessee to the late George and Lena (LouAllen) Hudgens. He is also preceded in death by his twelve siblings and first wife, Ruby Nation Hudgens.
Nelson retired from L&N Railroad Company, was a skilled carpenter and loved the Chicago Cubs.
Nelson is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Andrea Cosma Hudgens, his children, Steve Hudgens (Donna), Scott Hudgens (Gayla), Lisa Camfield (Michael), four grandchildren, Jacob Hudgens, Jennifer Hudgens (Eric), Katie Cresap (Branden), Julie Camfield, beloved great-granddaughters, Kennedy Marie and Emma and loving caregiver, Peaches.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 pm on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243) with burial to follow at Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, Kentucky.
