Neil Francis Looney, Jr., 67, of Jeffersonville, Indiana and formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
Neil was born on February 21, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Neil Francis Sr. & Clare (Cannon) Looney. He was a member of the United States Army Reserves during the Vietnam War and a graduate of University of Dayton receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Neil was an avid fan of the University of Louisville Football Team.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Diane (Heckel) Looney; children, Erin Wilson (Mike), Neil Francis Looney III (Eilynn); step-children, Robert Cline, Leah McMillan (Matt); sister, Carol Hensley; grandchildren, Kristin Marie & Clinton Mason Wilson; step-grandchildren, Kendall Nicole & Robert Edward Cline II, & Gavin McMillan; niece, Shannon Hensley; mother-in-law, Doris Heckel; sister-in-law, Carol Ann Dunman; brother-in-law, Daniel Heckel (Sheila). Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert Martin Heckel.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 2PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN). Family and guests will be gathering at 1PM in preparation for the Memorial Service. Cremation was chosen following Neil's wishes.
