Neil Duckworth

Neil Duckworth, 83, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. He was a member of Northside Christian Church, where he participated for many years in the Monday night golf league. Neil also enjoyed playing cards with his friends and cheering on Huddersfield Town and the Cleveland Browns.

He was born on May 22, 1939, in Huddersfield, England, to Harold and Nellie (Chatterton) Duckworth. In addition to his parents, Neil was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth.

Neil is survived by his wife, Judy Blankenship; sons, Paul Duckworth (Sue) and Ian "Jack" Duckworth (Sarah); siblings, Audrey Myers and Christopher Duckworth (Sandra); grandchildren, Hannah, Matthew, Ashley, and Alex (Jocelyn) Duckworth; stepchildren, Valerie, Jerry, and Brent; and 13 step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday after 9:00 a.m. His funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with cremation to follow according to Neil's wishes.
