Neal Alan Coleman, 60, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022. He had a dedicated 37-year career as an electrician for American Commercial Lines. Upon retirement, Neal became an active volunteer at the Falls of the Ohio State Park and enjoyed hiking in many state and national parks.
He was born on June 3, 1962, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late James Coleman and Delva (Sturgeon) Coleman. Neal is survived by his wife of almost 33 years, Julie (Houghton) Coleman; children, Kristin Zeek (John) and Tyler Coleman (Jessica); grandchildren, Cash and Cali Coleman; siblings, Darrell Coleman (Jan), Cheryl Murphy (Audrey), and Dennis Coleman (Deborah); and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 9:00 a.m. His funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Mary Navilleton Catholic Church Cemetery.
