Nathan Michael Stumler, 37, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky.
Nathan was born March 24, 1986, in Clark County, Indiana, to Randall Thomas Stumler and Tracy Elizabeth Frazier. He attended St. Mary's Church and was a 2005 graduate of Trinity High School in Louisville. Nathan was a long-term clerk in retail, working at Walmart in New Albany for many years. He was an avid reader, enjoying horror, mystery, and thrillers, Stephen King in particular. He was a fan of films and had an encyclopedic knowledge of all things Hollywood. Nathan used his passions to bond with his family who dearly loved him.
Nathan is survived by his father and bonus mother, Randall Stumler and Karen Sue (Moeller) Stumler; his grandfather, Irvin Ray Stumler; his siblings, Sarahjane Stumler (Evan Ellis), Henry Stumler (Suzanne Parcell), Oscar Stumler, Alfie Stumler, and Mary Anne Stumler. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tracy (Frazier) Freeman; his grandmother, Betty Ann Mattingly; and grandmother, Patricia Anne (Moynihan) Stumler.
His Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023, at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church (415 E. 8th St, New Albany, IN 47150) with burial to follow at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Cemetery in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. Cremation was chosen following Nathan's wishes.
