Naomi Jean Pilkerton, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
She was born on September 26, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Billie and Betty (Peters) Leftwich. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Pilkerton, son, Michael Pilkerton, brother, Clay Watts, and her sister, Susie Jecker.
Naomi was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In her spare time she enjoyed honky tonkin' at the VFW, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work and determination that will be carried on by the ones who love her most.
Naomi is survived by her loving children, Melissa (Kenneth Sandfer) Morris and Lee (Bernie) Pilkerton, grandchildren, Josh Pilkerton, Rebecca (Kevin) Morris, Michael (Abbie) Morris, Raylene (Marcus Edwards) Morris, Andrew Morris, Britany Miller, Shelby (Alfonso) Tellez and Michelle (James), 9 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her siblings, Peggy (Irvin) Lachalmelle, Sue and Shirley, along with a host of other friends and family who will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, March 21st at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
