Naomi Katherine Burden
February 26, 1926 — October 7, 2022
Naomi Katherine Burden, of Louisville, KY, passed away on October 7, 2022. She worked at Hedman's Suburban Florist as their bookkeeper for 50 years. Naomi was a Kentucky Colonel and was a former member of Beth Haven Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Burden; parents, James "Bub" and Flossie Lewis; brother, Leon Lewis and sisters, Geneva Hockett and Marilyn Travis.
Naomi leaves to cherish her memories, brother-in-law, Mark Giles; niece, Diana Lewis; nephews, David (Cindy) Hockett, Jimmy Lewis, Mike Hockett, Brian (Kim) Travis and Gary (Lora) Travis; several great- nieces and great-nephews and special friends, Joy, Billie and Peggy.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 16, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 2pm-8pm. A celebration of Naomi's life will be Monday, October 17, 2022, beginning at 11am at the funeral home.
Naomi will be laid to rest at Louisville Memorial Gardens - West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
