Nancye Sue (Mooney) Dunbar, 80, died Saturday, May 8, 2014 in New Albany, IN.
Nancye was born on September 6, 1933 in Webster County, Kentucky, to the late Robert Squire & Hazel Louise (Porter) Mooney. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Tommy Barnes and her daughter, Julie Barnes. She was a member of the Methodist Church and a past volunteer EMT in Webster County, Kentucky. Nancye had a kind heart and was selfless in all ways. She welcomed all walks of life with open arms and was a true example of a Good Samaritan.
She is survived by her siblings, Patsy Gibson (Tommy), Bob Mooney (Judy), Carolyn Britton (Don), Florence Gaffney (Tom), Jim Mooney (Janet), & John Mooney; grandson, Bryant Barnes; nieces & nephews, Nancy McDonald, Scott Gibson (Lisa), John Gibson (Debbie), Grant Gibson (Tammy), Porter Gibson (Pam).
Cremation was chosen following Nancye's wishes. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
