Nancy Lee Weining

Nancy Lee Weining, a beloved figure in her community, passed away peacefully on October , 2024, in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Born on July 23, 1934, Nancy a proud native of Louisville, spending her life there and contributing to her community in numerous ways.

In her younger years, Nancy was a beauty queen participating in local beauty pageants, where her grace and poise were evident to all who knew her. Her career included a dedicated role as a Teller at Stockyards Bank, exemplifying her strong work ethic and commitment to service.

Nancy graduated from Atherton High School in Louisville, establishing a foundation of lifelong learning and achievement. After this formative period, she married her devoted husband, Harry Weining, with whom she shared many cherished moments. The couple had one daughter, Debbie, who Nancy loved and constantly doted on. The two did everything together.  A few years after Debbie's birth, they ventured to their farm in Shelbyville, Kentucky, where they raised and showed Black Angus cattle. This endeavor brought her particular joy, as she embraced the rural lifestyle and the love of nature.

As a devoted wife and mother, Nancy cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her niece, Joan Jaggers; great niece, Jillian Muncaster; and great nephews, Jared and Jack Muncaster, who carry on her legacy and share fond memories of her nurturing spirit.

Nancy joins her late husband, Harry Weining, and their daughter, Debbie Weining, as well as her sister Joe Ann Auslander and her parents, Herbert and Bertha Farley. Their memories remain alive in the hearts of all who knew them.

A visitation in honor of Nancy will be held on October 26, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, starting at 12:30 PM and continuing until 1:30 PM. This will be followed by a graveside service at Cave Hill Cemetery, at 2:00 PM, allowing family and friends to gather, reflect, and celebrate the beautiful life she led.

Nancy Lee Weining will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will forever resonate in the lives of those she touched.
