Nancy Stapleton

Mrs. Nancy Berry Stapleton, age 87, of Louisville passed away Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the Twinbrook Nursing Home. She was born in Liverpool, England on August 30,1923, and immigrated to America in 1949 with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph G. Berry, and worked as a Payroll Clerk at the Murphy Elevator Co. for over 20 years.

She is survived by her son, John J. Berry (Pat); four grandchildren, John J. Berry, Jr. (Robin), Melissa Dant (Steve), Karen Lincks (Eric), and Jeffrey Berry; and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Irene Kime and sister-in-law,Gillian Peterson (Ronnie).

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 pm on Tuesday, August 31, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Middletown, KY. The Funeral Mass of Celebration will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1000 North Beckley Station Rd. Private burial will follow. A celebration of Mrs. Stapelton's life will be held after the mass at her son's home.
