Nancy Jane Buckler

Nancy Jane Buckler, age 87, died peacefully Monday March 3, 2014 at the Episcopal Church Home in Louisville, KY with her niece Fran who was honored to be by her side.
>
> Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Mary Heistand and William Oscar Buckler. Nancy was also preceded in death by all of her siblings - Theresa, Martha, Loraine, John and Joe, Bill, Borgia, Susan and Joyce.
>
> Nancy is survived by her sister in law Dorothy Buckler of Springfield, KY. She also had many nieces and nephews who will miss her.

Nancy was an active member in the Kiwanis Club North Shore and a good neighbor to her wonderful friends there.

> Aunt Nancy was a happy, good spirited soul who's mission in life in her later years was to make people smile - and that she did. She often commented that she had a wonderful life with no regrets.

> She was an educator who changed the lives of so many autistic children in Chicago where she lived for most of her life. Nancy was in the convent after high school until her early forties when she was asked to help begin the Loyola Day School - a school for children who had profound learning disabilities.
>
> A celebration of her life will be held in Springfield, KY on Easter Sunday April 20, 2014 and in Chicago at Barr Funeral Home, 6222 N. Broadway Street, Chicago,IL on March 30, 2014 from 3-5pm.
