Nancy Jean Forsee, age 67 of Prospect, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022. Nancy Forsee was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She attended Sacred Heart High School for ninth grade, but then her father transferred her to Eastern High School after the religious teaching at Sacred Heart became compromised. After graduating from Eastern in 1972, she attended the University of Louisville from which she graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in Business. For several years, she employed her natural talent for sales as a Tupperware dealer. Then, she took secretarial positions at Multi-Metals and LG&E before becoming a stay-at-home mom.
Nancy did not know any strangers and prided herself on her Southern hospitality. She made friends wherever she went and kept contact with them throughout the years. One of her favorite hobbies was sewing and she made many outfits for her children and grandchildren. They were her greatest joy, and so too her greatest sorrow in life was the loss of her son Joseph in 1992. Nancy was a devout Catholic and an active parishioner at St. Benedict Catholic Church. She taught mathematics for several years at the school there and was in charge of fundraising. The signs of the dementia that would eventually take her life started to appear in 2015. During the many sufferings of her gradual decline, she remained in good spirits. Under the attentive care of her husband, James Forsee, she was able to remain at home until the end. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph James Forsee, and her father, Joseph R. Bell, Sr.
Nancy Jean is survived by her mother, Mary Bell; her husband, James Forsee; her children, Father Paul Robinson, Cheryl (Robinson) Conklin, John Forsee, Mark Forsee; her ten grandchildren; her siblings, Joseph Bell, Jr., Barbara Bell, Robert Bell and Michael Bell; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, January 12, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, and from 10am to 12pm on Thursday, January 13th at St. Benedict Traditional Roman Catholic Church 1240 Matha Ave, Louisville, KY 40215.
