Morris Ferguson

Morris "Dale" Ferguson, Sr., 65, of New Albany passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012.

Dale was born on January 8, 1947 in Hartselle, Alabama to the late Edith Avelia (Collins) & Melvin Francis Ferguson, Sr. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather & a faithful member of Graceland Baptist Church.

Dale is survived by his wife of over 28 years, Sandra Lee (Potts) Ferguson; children, Morris Dale Ferguson, Jr., Christopher Patrick Ferguson, Monica Denise Purlee, Kevin Timothy Wright (Deanna), Ashley Nicole Hollins (Timothy); sister, Joyce Flynn; & 9 grandchildren. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Melvin, Jr., Ernie, & James Ferguson; sister, Martha Robins; & grandson, Zachary Ferguson.

Visitation will be from 5 PM to 8 PM on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and from 9 AM to 11 AM on Tuesday at Graceland Baptist Church. His Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Graceland Baptist Church (3600 Kamer Miller Road, New Albany) followed by burial at Abundant Life Memorial Gardens.
