Monty Wayne Slayton, 67, of Louisville, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018.
He was born on April 27, 1951 in Hodgensville, Kentucky to Kenneth and Marjorie (Milby) Slayton. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Slayton, father, Kenneth Slayton, and sister, Lisa Poole. Monty loved spending time with his grandkids. He also enjoyed drinking his coffee and watching Gun Smoke. He was a well loved husband, father, brother, and Pa Paw that will be missed.
Monty is survived by his loving wife, Aquaila Slayton; sons, Kenneth Wayne (Charlotte) Slayton, Todd Lee (Kathy) Slayton, Monty Dewayne (Amber) Slayton, Presley J. (Shannon) Skaggs, Aaron Eugene Slayton, and Matthew Scott (Amanda) Slayton; daughter, Bridgette Felicha Gwen (James) Robertson; sister, Phyllis Ann (James) Galloway; brother, Timothy (Deborah) Slayton; and 21 grandkids.
Visitation will be from 2 pm to 8pm on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy. His Funeral Service will be at 11 am on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Separate Baptist Church Cemetery in Magnolia ,Ky.
