Monica Hewlett Worthey, 67 formerly of Paintsville KY, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 25, 2022 in Louisville KY.
She was born in Middlesboro KY on June 20, 1955 to Joe Edgar Hewlett and Mary Evelyn (Crothers) Hewlett. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Susan Hewlett.
Monica is survived by her husband of over 20 years, Mike Worthey; three daughters, Jenna (Bryon) Hancock of Upton, KY, Teresa (Edward) Hanson of Paintsville, KY, Samantha (Andrew) Cox of Louisville, KY; also 3 bonus sons Michael Worthey of Illinois, Eric Worthey of Shepherdsville, KY and Austin Worthey of Louisville, KY.
She is also survived by six grandchildren Brooke, Paige, Haleigh, Hannah, Madison, and Andrew and 3 bonus grandchildren; Cole, Logan and Jane, eight great-grandchildren Jayleigh, James, Kyla, Waylon, John, William, Dalton and Thomas. She is also survived by two brothers Thomas (Alice) Hewlett of Van Lear, KY, Steve (Lucy) Hewlett of Lexington, KY, Jo Evelyn (Paul) Newman of Paintsville, along with an abundance of nephews and nieces who she loved dearly.
Monica was a Respiratory Therapist for 49 years in both Paintsville and Louisville where she mentored many and became friends to more. She loved time with her grandchildren, sewing and reading in her spare time.
A memorial service will be announced by the family at a later date.
