Mitchel L. Rowlett, 68, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024. Mitchel was a man whose laughter and lighthearted spirit made him unforgettable. Whether in the company of family, friends, or even strangers, he was the life of the room. His quick wit and ability to tell a story with humor and heart made him a joy to be around, and there was never a dull moment when he was present.
Born on May 12, 1956, in Munfordsville, Kentucky, to George and Mattie (Maxey) Rowlett, Mitchel grew up with a deep love for his family and a strong sense of humor that he carried throughout his life. He is preceded in death by his father, George Washington Rowlett; his mother, Mattie Lucille Rowlett; his brothers, Ronnie Rowlett and Charles Rowlett; and his sisters, Janice Curry, Addie Ford, Lillian Rowlett, Georgia Rowlett, and Darlene Rowlett. He is survived by his brothers, James (Mary) Rowlett, Johnny Rowlett, and Ned (Alana) Rowlett; and his sister, Stella Jones.
Mitchel had a strong opinion on almost everything, but he was never one to boast. His humility, kindness, and generosity defined him as much as his humor did. For many years, he worked as a dedicated dialysis technician, where he built lasting relationships with his patients and coworkers. His compassionate care and selfless commitment to others left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Mitchel was also a proud member of Woodsonville Baptist Church. Above all, he was a loving brother, uncle, and cousin. He was a proud member of his family, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. His loyalty, support, and generosity will never be forgotten.
Mitchel’s passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. His humor, love, and the way he made those around him feel will forever live in the hearts of his family and friends.
Honoring his wishes and request that there will be only grave side services. The grave side services will be held at the Woodsonville Memorial Gardens Saturday December 28, 2024 at 12:00 pm CST.
