Minerva "Mimi" Caverly

Minerva “Mimi” Caverly, 89, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on June 14, 2024.
She was born on January 2, 1935 in Tampa, Florida to the late Eliseo and Amelia Castro. Minerva will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Caverly, and all her siblings. She was the youngest in her family and generation. The family moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania while she was a child. She met her husband, a Navy sailor, and later married there. Minerva followed him throughout his relocations and deployments during his naval career. She lived in the Newport, Rhode Island area for more than 50 years. Minerva loved all animals, including a long line of rescue dogs and cats she kept as family pets throughout the years.
She is survived by her children, Mark Caverly (Jane) and Rebecca Cummings (David); grandchildren, Douglas Caverly, Evan and Maddie Cummings; and loving nephews and nieces, Albert Hartman (Maria), Debbie Edmiston (Mickey), Candy Ciociola (Frannie), Priscilla Pinero (Ron), and others.
No services are planned.
