Milton Auguste "Guy" de la Houssaye Jr., 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.
He was born on July 19, 1936 in Metairie, Louisiana to the late Milton and Harriet (Saunders) de la Houssaye.
Guy's career spanned 50 plus years in the graphic arts industry. After retirement he enjoyed long haul truck driving, his dream job. He had many loves and passions including music, singing in the Racing City Chorus Barber Shop Choir, playing trombone, he was very patriotic, serving his country in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Japan. He was a single engine airplane pilot, he loved the Blue Angels. Guy's hobbies included riding motorcycle, archery, hunting, he built and flew radio controlled model airplanes. He dearly loved his Boston Terriers, Boots and Tinkerbell and most of all loved and cherished his family.
Guy is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Evelyn Vernell de la Houssaye, daughters, Deborah Kenyon (Keith), Della Cannon, Dennette de la Houssaye (Mike), foster son, Michael Goroll (Patty), four grandchildren, Jessica Kenyon, Kiera Kenyon, Britney Cannon-Bugg, Ryan Cannon-Bugg and sister Gloria Brown. He is also survived by many loved nieces, nephews and a host of de la Houssaye extended family.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 pm on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
