Mike Morris

Mike Morris, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023.

He was born on April 5, 1953, in Louisville, Kentucky to William and Margaret (Vormbrock) Morris. He is also preceded in death by his father, William Harold Morris.

Mike was a member of Eastland Church of Christ. He spent over thirty years working for Philip Morris, and he retired at age 55. Mike was a man of many hobbies, among them including kayaking, fishing, music, and playing guitar, but above all else, he was a man of God and family. He will leave behind many brothers and sisters in Christ, friends, and neighbors.

Mike is survived by his loving bride of 41 years, Melinda Morris, sons, Ryan (Shelly), Billy (Erica), and Blake (Abby), mother, Margaret Francis Morris, six grandchildren, Ethan, Zoe, Gannon, Andrew, Bennett and Colby Michael, three siblings Karen (Mike), Joe, and John (Lil). He is also survived by his nephews Nick, Parker, and nieces Katie and Maggie (Scott).

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Newcomer, Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).

Visitation will also be from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 am on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).

The family would like Mike's memory to be carried on with random acts of kindness by paying it forward, just as Mike would do.
