Michelle Newton

Michelle Newton, beloved mother, cherished friend, and vibrant soul, was born on August 3, 1971. She gracefully departed this world on February 12, 2025, leaving behind a tapestry of memories woven with laughter and compassion.

In her lifetime, Michelle embodied the essence of care for others. Always attentive and nurturing, she prioritized the well-being of those around her, particularly her beloved son, Jhase, whom she regarded as her proudest accomplishment. Her boundless affection extended beyond the familial, as she became a source of encouragement and wisdom, renowned for her best motherly advice that uplifted her friends and family. Michelle was that shining beacon, ever cheering on other mothers, fostering an atmosphere of support and camaraderie among them.

An alumnus of Ivy Tech, Michelle earned her Bachelor's degree in the medical field, showcasing her dedication to helping others not just through her personal interactions but also through her professional pursuits. She approached life with an optimistic spirit and an infectious laugh, inviting joy and warmth into every gathering. Her outgoing personality was complemented by her deep love for music; she found solace and happiness in attending concerts, where melodies became a backdrop to her vibrant existence.  She loved cooking, hosting and planning parties which showed her language of love. 

She was preceded in death by mother, Jeannie Stratton; grandparents, aunts and uncles. 

Michelle leaves behind to cherish her memories her son, Jhase Newton; father, Scotty (Donna) Newton; 3 brothers; 8 sisters and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Her presence will be profoundly missed, yet her legacy of compassion and love will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched. A viewing for Michelle will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home in Southwest Louisville, Kentucky, on February 21, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on February 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM. It will be held at the same location.
