Michael W. "Mikie" Pouw, 54, of New Albany passed away on Friday evening, January 28, 2011 at River View Village.
Mikie was born on March 12, 1956 in New Albany, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruthie (Cooper) Pouw, mother, Ola M. (Edmonson) Diaz and brother, James C. Pouw.
He is survived by his daughter, Robyn Johnson of Carrollton, Kentucky, son, Michael W. Pouw, Jr. of New Albany; his father, Peter C. Pouw and his wife, Pauline, of New Albany; siblings, Connie Pouw, Kathy Embry and her husband, Terry, Becky Brown and her husband, Mitch, all of New Albany; and grandchildren, Dakota, Justin, Mikie, Lindsey, Martha Mae, and Sadie.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM on Monday, January 31, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150). His Funeral Service will be at 7 PM on Monday in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
