Michael Van Holt

Michael V. Holt, 66, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014. He was a United States Army veteran that proudly served his country in Vietnam. Mike was a 32nd Degree Mason and was a member of the Louisville Scottish Rite Kosair Shrine Temple and the Depauw Masonic Lodge #338 in New Albany. He was the past President Director of the Kosair Shriners in Louisville, a retired iron worker with the Local 680 Union and a member of the VFW Post 1698 Hobart Beach.

Mike was born on July 15, 1948 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Ruel and Sally (Vaughn) Holt. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Max Holt. Mike leaves to cherish his memory a loving family and many great friends

Visitation will be from 12 to 8 PM on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN) and on Tuesday after 11 AM. His Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with burial and military honors to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
