Michael A. Trowel was born on March 18, 1962, to the late Henry A. Trowell and Marietta B. Trowell in Pewee Valley. Michael passed on March 22, 2025. He was surrounded by his family.
Michael joined First Baptist Church of Anchorage at an early age. While attending Eastern High School, he obtained a welding certificate. Michael worked as a welder and construction worker.
His greatest joy came from being a loving grandfather to Egypt and Elias Cooper. They spent time wrestling and playing together.
Michael's personality radiated hard work. Michael’s mother had him spoiled. He was known for his loyalty to his mother.
Michael found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He liked cars, motorcycles, and his dogs. He loved fishing and hunting.
Michael leaves the following to cherish his memory: his mother, Marietta Trowell; sister, Henri Etta Gray; children, Michaela, Mila, and Elijah Trowell; grandchildren (Michaela) Egypt and Elias Copper; niece, Ashlee Gray; great niece, Zoe Johnson; great nephew, River Johnson; aunt, LaVerne Davis; wife (separated) Patricia Trowell, mother of Michaela; favorite cousin, Vicki Davis; and a host of family and friends.
Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew him. We gather to honor his memory and celebrate a life well-lived.
