Michael Allen Stephens

Michael Allen Stephens, 50, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away at his home in Borden on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Mike was born on July 6, 1973 to William Edward Stephens, Jr. and the late Margaret Evangeline Stair. He was a 1991 graduate of Floyd Central High School where he excelled in all sports, especially football, where he became a record breaking player. Mike enjoyed fishing, playing baseball with his nephews, helping his loving mother and step-father at the farm, growing crops and working in the garden with his father, canning, and caring for his many animals, especially his dog, Pippi.

Mike is survived by his father, William Edward Stephens, Jr.; step-father, Ernest Raab; 2 brothers, Gary E. Stephens, and Mark W. Stephens (Angel Hall); nephew, Garreth E. Stephens; niece, Mckennah S. Stephens; 2 great-nephews, Christian and Caleb.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Evangeline Stair Raab; grandparents, Otis W. Stair, Jr., Ester Merkel Stair, William E. Stephens, Sr., and Edna M. Heeke Stephens; and his niece, Savannah E. Stephens.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Borden.
