Michael P. Gootee
March 6, 1950 — August 3, 2016
Michael P. "Mickey" Gootee, 66, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 surrounded by his family and close friends. Mickey was a "Trusted Servant" of AA for 33 years.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Kimberly Gootee and a brother, Joseph C. Gootee, Jr.
Michael is survived by his siblings, Sandy Sutherland, Frank Gootee and John Phil (Vickie) Gootee; a grandson, Michael and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be on Saturday August 6, 2016 from 1-7 p.m. and Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 11-4 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A funeral ceremony will be 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the funeral home.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. at The Care Center, 3711 Bells Lane, Louisville, KY 40211
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy are suggested to The Care Center.
