Michael Kenneth Morgan, Sr.

Michael Kenneth "Mike" Morgan, Sr., 76, of Louisville, KY passed away on April 9, 2024. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and taught marriage prep and counseled young couples. Mike retired from Greyhound, as a mechanic, after 19 years. After retirement Mike worked for Baumgartle Jewelers making and repairing jewelry for 10 years.
He enjoyed playing cards with his friends; they were known as the four Amigos, watching Grit TV and camping. Mike liked traveling with his wife JoAnn especially to Florida and the Smokey Mountains and monthly luncheons with their PRP friends from high school. Most of all Mike loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Kenneth Morgan, Jr.; parents, George and Margaret Morgan; brother, Kenneth Morgan and brother-in-law, Robert "Larry" Barnett.

Mike leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 57 years, JoAnn Morgan; daughters, Betty (Jason) Cook and Laura (Chad) Snepp; grandchildren, Ryan (Destiny) Cook, Rachel (Michael Peak) Cook, Cody (Sophie) Keown, Morgan (Trent) Keown, Paige Snepp and Lilly Snepp; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Maisie, Weston, Charlie and Cole; sisters, Peggy (Chris) Boyd and Debbie (Billy) Milby; sister-in-law, Susan (Joe) Lotze; fur baby, Sammy and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 12pm-4pm with a celebration of Mike's life beginning at 4pm.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to WHAS Crusade for Children, 520 W Chestnut St., Louisville, KY, 40202, in Mike's memory.
