March 25, 1961 — February 18, 2024

Michael Wayne Minter, 62, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 after his battle with Lung Cancer. Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He always loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was an avid NASCAR and UofL & Ravens fan, enjoyed playing poker, feeding the squirrels and birds. Michael will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He was born on March 25, 1961 in Louisville, Kentucky to Lawrence and Madonna (Smith) Minter. He is preceded in death by his Father, Lawrence "Bud" Gilbert Minter, Jr., Mother, Madonna Rose Minter, and Brother, Perry Minter.

Michael is survived by his loving Wife of 13 years, Melissa Minter; Children, Michael Minter, Miranda (Eric) Beck, Christopher (Amanda) Burks, Nicole (Roberto) Burks, and Jessica (Scott) Newton; Grandchildren, Brianna Burks, Avianna Burks, Evelynn Burks, Jason Newton, and Emma Newton; Siblings, Kenny (Valerie) Minter, Lauren Dotson, and Lisa Minter, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his memory forever.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.

The family requests that contributions in Michael's memory be made to James Brown Cancer Society.
