Michael Anthony King, age 54 of Fisherville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Growing up in Guston, Kentucky, he was in the marching band and graduated from Meade County High School in 1985. He graduated from the University of Louisville in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in Economics. A man of many accomplishments, perhaps the most impressive being that he survived a household as the youngest of 7 brothers. On November 10, 1990, he married the love of his life, his best friend, Rhonda, whom he was happily married to for the next 31 and a half years. He served as a father, teacher, and coach of every sport that he knew even a little bit about. For the last eight years he has been most happy while spending time with his granddaughter. He is also survived by his many dogs and grand dogs including his favorite, Olive. He will be fondly remembered for laughing at serious movies, always having a new joke to tell, and making everyone he came across feel important. He worked in human resources for Norton Health Care for 31 years. He converted to Catholicism at St. Rita Catholic Church in Louisville, Kentucky in 2001. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Ola Sue King and his brother, Freddie King.
Mike leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Rhonda King; children, Alex King, Nicholas King, and Ashley King; granddaughter, Savannah King; brothers, Charlie King (Tammy), Dale King, Tim King (Kathy), Tom King, Jerry King (Joann); and nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 4 to 8pm on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243 and on Saturday, March 12th from 9:30am until time of service at 11am.
